Who should do this course?

Doctors, registered nurses, dietitians, nutritionists, health coaches trained at Prekure. Allied health professionals.
However, this course is also ideal if you want to improve your knowledge of Low Carb or Keto nutrition for your own benefit or that of your family. We strongly recommend that you have completed the PK201 program: The Therapeutic Benefits of Low Carb & Keto.

What are the benefits of taking the course?

Is it a course approved by the CME by the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP)?

Yes. PK202: The practice of low carb and keto has been approved by the College of General Practitioners of New Zealand (RNZCGP) and approved for a duration of 15 hours (total activity) of FMC for the training program 2 / 3 in general medicine (GPEP) and continuing education. Professional Development (CPD).

I am a nurse, physio or pharmacist – does this course count in my CPD credits?

Yes, it counts for 15 hours.

How long will it take?

The course lasts about 12-15 hours. It consists of 5 90-minute modules, each module requiring 60 to 90 additional minutes of reading and / or reflective practice.

Do I have to be a health professional to take this course?

No. You can register for this course if you are not a health professional or a trained health coach at PreKure. However, we strongly recommend that you complete PK201: The Therapeutic Benefits of Low Carbohydrate Nutrition and Keystone Nutrients as a Prerequisite for PK202. This course is perfect if you want to improve your knowledge of Low Carb or Keto nutrition science for your own benefit or that of your family.

How to know if this course is credible and contains correct information?

The course is scientifically based, with full academic references provided for all media. It is taught by Dr. Caryn Zinn, Professional Dietitian, Professor of Public Health, Grant Schofield, and Dr. Glen Davies, Practicing General Practitioner and RNZCGP Member.

When does the course begin and end?

The course is open the day of your registration and you have until the end of the month following your registration to complete it. So, if you sign up at any time in July, you have until the end of the month of August to complete the course. This is easily achievable.
