that's good, I offer you my personal selection of the best books (the most pointed, the most documented, the most consistent, the most accessible) on the ketogenic diet! Attention, some are translated into French, others not translated!
KETO-ADAPTED – Maria Emerich
Keto-Adapted from Maria Emerich is one of the best books on the ketogenic diet that I had the opportunity to read: already because I found that it was both simple, clear, and still really deepened, and then, because for once, there were few things with which I did not agree ! I may have less loved his craze for dietary supplements, but hey, it does not force anyone to take them!
If you prefer, it is translated into French: Keto-Adapted: Your Guide to Weight Loss and Accelerated Healing
THE ART AND SCIENCE OF LOW-CARBOHYDRATE LIVING – Jeff Volek and Stephen Phinney
The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living: An Expert Guide to Making the Life-Saving Benefits of Carbohydrate Restriction Sustainable and Enjoyable
I speak very often of this book on this blog, and for good reason: it is the BASE! Phiney and Vollek were pioneers in this field! The foundations of the ketogenic diet are very well explained, and the authors do not hesitate to explain in depth, studies in support, the effects of a ketogenic diet well formulated on the whole metabolism. On the other hand, it does not seem to me that it is translated!
THE ART AND SCIENCE OF LOW-CARBOHYDRATE PERFORMANCE– Jeff Volek and Stephen Phinney
The Art and Science of Low Performance Carbohydrate
This book is an answer to the first (Low-Carbohydrate Living): because after the first book, athletes have all in hearts asked: okay, but what about us? This one is therefore much more in metabolic details, and explain why the ketogenic diet is more than any other for athletes, both in terms of performance than that of metabolism (recovery, muscle, etc.). Like the first, this book provides the practical details of setting up the diet: macronutrients, quantities, ideas and even recipes! Whether you are sports or not, I advise you to read the first one before reading this one!
THE KETO RESET DIET, Mark Sisson
The Keto Reset Diet: Reboot Your Metabolism in 21 Days and Burn Fat Forever
A excellent book on the ketogenic diet and one excellent practical guide on how to set it up! The book is both theoretical (explains in a very clear and very affordable metabolic benefits and the functioning of the ketogenic diet) and practical (progressive application of the ketogenic diet, with menus, recipes, examples to help you.More details on book in this article!
As the book came out late, it is not yet available in translation!
