Our friend Emma from @lowcarbmalta has just shared with us her version of homemade gluten-free hamburger buns.

His recipe is slightly different from our recipe below. However, we would like to share his version here, so you can try it:

Ingredients for 6 rolls:

  • 1 cup of almond flour
  • 3 egg whites
  • 300 ml of hot water
  • 5 tablespoons of psyllium husk
  • 2 teaspoons of cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons of yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Sesame seeds



  • Mix all the ingredients and divide into 6 pieces and form into a ball. Flatten the balloon so that it is about 1 centimeter thick.
  • Glaze with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 175 ° C (350 ° F). Enjoy!

Note: Some brands of psyllium husk powder can become purple dough when cooked. It also depends on the order and method you use to combine the ingredients. However, this does not affect the taste.
