A woman in her thirties said she felt like living in the body of a 70-year-old man before losing nearly 140 pounds in just two years.
Jana Parks, a 33-year-old from Georgia, struggles to develop self-confidence and often uses food to cope with her emotions. Her unhealthy eating habits of eating fast food and eating regularly on the outside have seen her weight increase up to 308 pounds and her dress size to reach a size of 24.
However, when simple daily tasks such as going up and down stairs became difficult for the HR specialist, she understood that she had to change her unhealthy lifestyle and eating habits.

Although she always had a positive attitude with a good social life with friends, she sometimes felt unworthy of love and self love was not easy for her.
In October 2016, Jana began to have weight-related health problems, such as joint pain and inflammation of her body, and began struggling with simple, daily activities. Up and down the stairs has even begun to become a challenge.
After getting on the scale and seeing her weight, she decided to do something and started looking for different methods of weight loss.
She discovered the ketogenic diet, often referred to as a keto diet, which is a diet high in fat, protein and low in carbohydrates.
Over the next two years, while she was setting a healthier meal plan and she was doing more exercise, she learned how strong and dignified she was, which made her allowed to improve her mentality to love herself.
During this time she managed to reduce her weight to a healthy weight of about 168 pounds and a size 10 and now feels happier than ever.
She is now on a mission to get the message out that everyone is worthy of love and attention and with 36,000 followers on Instagram she has encouraged other women in the process.
"I think I used food to manage emotions; In short, I have never been really happy with myself and I have used food to deal with this. In short, I did not like or dislike myself, says Jana.
"I chose to marry someone I knew that he did not like me the way I wanted, but because I did not like him." the person I was, I lived with.

"All those who mattered to me have always loved and supported, no matter my size. These were random comments from strangers, or the way someone looked at me in a roller coaster or sitting next to them in a plane; it's the things that bothered me.
"In October 2016, I had a ton of joint pain and inflammation in my body; it hurt to get up in the morning, climbing the stairs was difficult.
"I climbed on the scale and weighed about 308 pounds. I knew I had to make a change, I could not live my life like that anymore.
"I was 31 years old but I had the impression of being in the body of a 70 year old man. I just googling "diets that reduce inflammation" and the keto was the first to appear.
"I went shopping and I jumped in with both feet. I spent all my life on a yo-yo diet, losing and gaining the same 53 kilos.

After months of hard work, Jana is used to three meals a day.
Before adopting a healthier lifestyle, Jana began her day with a Starbucks coffee and a sandwich at breakfast.

Lunch: Protein, vegetables and avocado or salad
Dinner: protein, vegetables like cauliflower rice bowls with tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapenos, avocados and sour cream
For lunch she ate either a fast food meal or another sandwich and fries from a restaurant, and for dinner she ate pasta.
Meanwhile, she regularly stuck candies and unhealthy sugary drinks throughout the day.
Now, Jana is sticking to a healthier alternative: black coffee and two egg muffins for breakfast. She eats the leftovers for breakfast, like a protein, a vegetable, a avocado or a salad.
For dinner, she usually now has protein, vegetables like cauliflower rice bowls with tomato, cucumbers, jalapenos, avocado and sour cream.
"The first two weeks have been so difficult. I felt weak in energy, had a headache and overall, it was not terrible. But this week, I felt good, my energy was out of breath, "she said.
"I had lost 15 pounds and my inflammation and my joint pain had almost completely disappeared. I had never thought that a diet plan was intended for me before trying Keto.
"I no longer consider it a diet, but a way of eating that allows my body to function optimally. I feel so good, "she added.
Jana said that losing weight completely changed her life. In particular, she said that her weight loss had changed her thinking, since she now knows that she can do anything that goes through her head.

"Being able to do simple things, like sitting in a seat on a plane without feeling embarrassed or uncomfortable, is one of my biggest off-scale wins.
"Being able to go into any store and go shopping, well that's priceless. Before, I was limited to a few shops and I had very few options. Instead of choosing clothes that were my style, I found myself trying to find everything that would fit my body.
"That's why I decided to share my story on social media. It gives me great satisfaction to be a friend of others and help them when they need it most, "she added.
Jana's advice to others who are trying to lose weight is to work on self-love before embarking on the journey of weight loss.
"I would like to tell someone to lose weight in a place of love and not to hate your body. If you start working on the love of yourself and feeling physically better, it's so much easier to follow, "she said.
